i dont understand why any person would make a child work all day in horrible conditions and only paying them little if any wages. when we researched child labor in the library during class the other day, i looked at pictures that were really disturbing. i saw a kid who was maybe 3-4 years old carrying tons of bricks on his back. not untill i saw these pictures and learned that child labor still goes on in the world today did i really think about it. it is a horrible situation that we need to stop. one type of child labor that struck me was sex labor. about 10,000 children are brought into the U.S. to big cities like Los Angeles or NYC. if they try to escape they get beaten, raped, or killed. the children are sold for about 10,000 to 30,000 dollars. unlike prostitution, they are not payed, but are slaved the same way. their owners make about 30,000 dollars every week off these hopless children. no child should be treated like this and we need to put a stop to child labor.

After reading the artical about child labor i still seem to be shocked about it. Yet this still goes on in the world and still the goverments of these nations still do nothing about it. I believe that as kids of America we should do something about this. If we done act soon than we could be next.

I was surprised that some products are made by children, for children. How can Disney do that?!

I can't believe how many kids are working instead of going to school. some of these kids stroies are really sad. there was this one kid who worked on trains. his job was to sweep the cars and one day his clothes got stuck in the train. the train ran him over. i think that is horrible. i feel really bad that kids have to do this and that a lot of them are dying over it.

I can not believe that there is still child labor anywhere around America today! I thought that it was an old problem that has been solved, concidering it is now illegal! But more than 246 million still working today! hopefully in the future this will not be an issue!

I went online and did some research on Walmart, because I remember it being mentioned in class, and was surprised to find that Walmart had been using child labor to lower their prices ( like they aren't low enough already)! Other companies in the US have done this too, but what was surprising, is that Walmart, being such a large and profitable company, can afford the labor to be done by people above the required age. They don't need the child labor, because they already have enough money from not giving their workers health care. Yes, you heard ( read?) me right. Walmart ( supposedly ) hires illegal aliens to work for low costs, just like they use child labor to lower their costs! When I read about this, I was like: " What?!". I couldn't believe that Walmart was doing so many bad things. Their commercials are so good!
